Sykehouse Cottage

A beautiful C17th Holiday Cottage in the Lake District

Where?

The village is in the south western Lake District National Park, away from the hustle and bustle of the busier central Lakes yet close to fells, tarns, lakes and beaches.  The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Duddon Valley, Coniston Water, and for walks on the beach at Haverigg or Millom.

Why not take a steamer ride on Windermere or a row on Coniston Water; a train ride on La’al Ratty or the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway?

There are also many historic houses and museums to visit such as:  Muncaster Castle, Blackwell, Levens Hall and John Ruskin’s home, Brantwood, overlooking the Coniston Water.
